Strategic CIO Solutions was formed by the company's founder, Dr. Meredith Gardner to focus specifically on the challenges faced by today's CIO's and IT departments.

The company's founder, Dr. Meredith Gardner, has spent her career inspiring organizations to bridge the communication gaps that naturally develop within and between corporate groups and departments.

Over time, Dr. Gardner noticed certain naturally occurring, and almost predictable informal networks within organizations which exert strong influence over the success of all interdepartmental and vertical communication, management, and leadership initiatives within the enterprise. The networks work both positively and negatively ---Positively when they are acknowledged, formalized and harnessed; and they work negatively when they run wild unacknowledged exerting their silent influence.

Through further research, Dr. Gardner found, that much like the triangles on a geodesic sphere, these networks form in a triangular fashion through the organization as miniature triangular modules of (me, you, and us) which fit into larger modules or (individual, departmental, and enterprise). These miniature triangular networks eventually connect all personnel within the enterprise and cut across departments, levels, silos, cohorts, and even virtual involvements

Her study lead to the creation of the "Geodesic Team Development" Series™. A collection of soft skill training modules designed to harness this phenomenon and provide the basis for powerful tri-directional influence at the individual, departmental and enterprise levels. Her experience in dealing with the special challenges and complexities of the CIO role in particular lead to the the further creation of CIO Solution Modules --- Specifically designed to address their unique soft skill needs for higher, and higher levels of communication, management, and leadership skills.
